COVID-19 Update #1: No FUSC activities till Apr 15th

Dear FUSC Families,

The coronavirus that causes COVID-19 has dramatically changed our everyday work, school, vacation, and play routines.  The FUSC Board of Directors has been in constant contact with Mass Youth Soccer, the BAYS Travel League, and the Framingham School District to make sure that our soccer activities do not promote the spread of the virus.

Effective on March 13th, Mass Youth Soccer (MYSA) has suspended all affiliated and sanctioned activities until April 15th.  This will make opening day for both in-town and travel soccer April 18th.  While this may seem like a significant delay, the first two weeks of the spring season are often delayed or cancelled due to weather and other acts of Mother Nature.  Both Coaches Meetings have been cancelled and the FUSC Board is working on a solution to disseminate the information and MYSA badges while maintaining social distancing.  Registration for the Memorial Day Tournament is now open and we expect to host the 38th Annual Memorial Day Classic on May 22 – 24th.

Lastly, indoor soccer is not affiliated with either Mass Youth Soccer or Framingham United.  If your child’s team is enrolled in an indoor soccer program, you should contact your coach or the indoor facility that your child is playing in to determine the status of the indoor games or season.

We hope that the social distancing and other measures that our schools and workplaces have initiated will allow us to safely watch our kids having fun playing soccer again soon.
