FUSC Director of Coaching

Who is Cam Wallace?

Cam was born in the North of Scotland, in the capital of the Highlands, Inverness. From an early age he became obsessed with soccer, playing and watching almost everyday. From the age of 6 he joined the club he supports Ross County. He enjoyed a great spell of playing in their professional youth set up before moving to less competitive soccer as he focused on his coaching career (Also with the Professional set up at Ross County learning from Fully Qualified FIFA Coaches) and giving on experiences and education to others. He studied for two years at the University of the Highlands and Islands in Sports Coaching with Development of Sport before moving to the U.S. with GPS in August 2016.

Since his move to the U.S., he has worked with children of all ages across the Metro West Area with GPS Elite teams for 3 years, developing both boys and girls skills as well as passion for the sport they play. He currently coaches the GPS Elite White 2005 Boys, Elite Red 2007 Boys and Elite Red 2010 Boys. He has grown familiar with Massachusetts and has a great ora of energy to give out during his sessions.

When he’s at home in Scotland, he plays for a number of teams in a number of positions so knows what’s required across the whole field and sees himself as an aggressive player confident on the ball, which is what he wants his teams to be as well.

What is Cam’s coaching philosophy?

Cam’s 3 big things for soccer players to follow are Attitude, Receiving the Ball and Game Intelligence.
He strives to embed these into his teams and every session he does.
